Dr. Andrea S. Burch, MD, FAAD
Dr. Burch completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii, Manoa (BA Biology, with distinction, 1995), and is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine (2001) Summa Cum Laude. She completed a Dermatology residency and Dermatopathology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota (2001-2006). She is board certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and in Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology.
Dr. Burch has practiced dermatopathology with Dermatopathology Consultants since her return to the Louisville area in 2006. She is actively involved in the local dermatology community and is former president of the Kentucky Dermatologic Association. She is a member of the volunteer clinical faculty in the division of Dermatology at the University of Louisville and participates in Dermatopathology resident education. Dr. Burch supervises the resident dermatology clinic at the Robley Rex Veterans Administration Medical Center and previously served in the same capacity at the Park DuValle Medical center.
Heather Janes, Certified Physician Assistant
Heather is a native of Glendale, Kentucky. She received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Louisville, and while attending she worked as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Assistant at Taustine Eye Center in Louisville, KY. She attended the Physician Assistant Program at South University in Savannah, Georgia, and received a Master’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. While at South University, she served as Student Ambassador for her class. She’s certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and family, playing the piano, walking her dog, Hershey, and attending University of Louisville sports events.
Katie Booker, Certified Physician Assistant
Katie is a Louisville native. She received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. While at Wake Forest she worked as an EMT for three years. She attended the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Kentucky and served as class president while there. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Katie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, riding horses and walking her dog, Juniper.
Sydney Newton, APRN
Sydney is a Louisville native. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville in 1993 and has worked as a RN for the past 22 years with 10 years experience in dermatology. She attended Northern Kentucky University Nurse Practitioner Program from 2012 to 2015 graduating with her Master of Science in Nursing. Sydney is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Kentucky Coalition for Nurse Practitioners. She is married to her husband of 22 years and is the mother of 4 teenage children. During her free time she enjoys running, spending time with her family, and attending her children’s sporting activities as well as supporting the University of Louisville Cardinals.
Heather Mucci, APRN
Heather is a lifelong Louisvillian who loves caring for people from all over. She entered the medical field as a nursing assistant in 1996, then received bachelor’s (cum laude) and master’s (with Dean’s Award for Highest Scholarship) degrees from the University of Louisville in 1998 and 2004. She has worked as a nurse practitioner in dermatology since 2004 and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, and the Dermatology Nurses Association. She and her husband of fifteen years have four children.

Beth is a native of Louisville, Kentucky where she attended Sacred Heart Academy. She later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky. Beth worked in Retail Management before she started her family. She has worked at Cassis Dermatology for six years prior to being promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Beth and her husband have two children, a daughter at the University of Kentucky and a son at St. Xavier High School. Beth also volunteers at GRRAND, Golden Retriever Rescue.
